Like a shredding Jimmy Page, Shaun White’s list of hits might as well be categorized as platinum.
Since turning pro at 13, Shaun won every major halfpipe contest before he was 20, including his first Olympic Gold in Torino—vaulting him into legit celebrity status. With his face on a Wheaties box, Rolling Stone cover appearances, and his own signature Burton line: The White Collection, Shaun was in a league of his own. Shaun’s relatively mellow 2013 season was still full of superlatives—tying the title for consecutive Winter X Games wins (six superpipes in a row) and most US Open wins (five). Was he throttling back? Nah, he’s just getting ready to tackle both superpipe and slopestyle in the 2014 Sochi Olympics. We can’t wait to watch the show.Age: 27 Home Town: Carlsbad, California Home Mountain: Northstar-at-Tahoe Stance: Regular, 23” wide, 12° front, -3° back
